Complimentary Workshop: Managing Kubernetes at Scale

November 26, 2020 Tuesday

9:30 - 16:00 Central European Time

Join Us in Milan

To remain competitive in today's fast-paced, digital world, your business needs to adopt technologies that enable you to innovate and scale. Kubernetes is quickly becoming the choice solution for teams looking to deliver modern, data-driven applications while decreasing cost and optimizing resources. However, learning and managing Kubernetes can be a challenge.

D2iQ offers complimentary training that helps you get up and running on Kubernetes with simple installation, scaling, and management of the platform--on any infrastructure. This course is a great primer for all levels and covers everything you need for implementation and beyond.

In this hands-on workshop, we will cover how operations can architect a Kubernetes solution with all of its surrounding tooling, while managing all components on an ongoing basis. This session will also cover the use cases and best practices for Kubernetes management.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
  • An introduction to Kubernetes and the CNCF Landscape (Cloud Native Computing Foundation)
  • Hands-on installation and lifecycle management (scaling, upgrading) of the Kubernetes cluster
  • How to deploy and expose Kubernetes applications using an ingress controller (Layer 4 and Layer 7)
  • Leverage persistent storage in Kubernetes using Container Storage Interface (CSI)
  • Learn and explore popular Kubernetes tools such as Helm and Istio
  • Leverage persistent storage using Portworx and CSI
  • Configure Helm and deploy Istio
  • Observability of Kubernetes Cluster and Services with Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic and Kibana

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers
Infrastructure Architects
IT Managers, Application Architects, DevOps Leaders/Operators

Attendees should have fundamental knowledge of kubernetes concepts and architecture, kubernetes networking and storage concepts, familiarity and comfort working with a command line terminal and file editor.
