Management and Governance of Kubernetes for the Enterprise Presented by D2iQ and ECS

July 16, 2020 Thursday

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm BST

DATE: Thursday, 16 July
TIME: 13:00 - 14:00 BST
LOCATION: Virtual

Today, companies are adopting Cloud Computing to improve the scalability and availability of their applications, from the development phase to production. However, to truly benefit from these advantages, they must implement a new application development strategy.

This is the challenge of developing native applications for the cloud: quickly creating and updating applications and, at the same time, improving quality and reducing risks. In recent years, container technology and their orchestration by Kubernetes have become a standard for deploying these modern applications, regardless of the infrastructure used: private cloud, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud...

Public cloud is often the quickest option, but using a cloud provider's own services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) can be very expensive and will make switching to another provider difficult in the future. There are however other solutions that allow companies to simplify and automate the deployment of Kubernetes on the infrastructure of their choice.

Finally, with the proliferation of Kubernetes environments, the problem of centralised governance then arises: authentication, rights management and access control, security, cost monitoring and re-invoicing.

During this webinar, we will demonstrate how D2iQ solutions respond to the problems encountered by companies when rapidly deploying a Kubernetes platform in production, scale it up, and apply an adapted governance policy.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
  • Kubernetes: what are the differences between an in-house deployment, a managed cloud service and certified distribution?
  • What CNCF tools are necessary for a deployment in production (monitoring, logging, networking, back-up, etc.)?
  • How to manage several Kubernetes clusters in a centralized way (authentication, access, security, costs ...)?
  • Q&A

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • CTO
  • IT and DevOps managers
  • Cloud, Infrastructure, Applications Architects
  • DevOps and SRE engineers
