Code of Conduct

Cloud Native Virtual Summit featuring Kubernetes
Hosted by D2iQ and Container Solutions

At the Cloud Native Virtual Summit featuring Kubernetes, all attendees, speakers and sponsors are required to comply with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Summary
This event and its organisers are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any venue, including talks, workshops, parties related to D2iQ and Container Solutions and online media. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned, expelled from the event at the discretion of the organisers, and if necessary banned from participating in future events.

The Full Version
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. The organisers should not create a sexualized environment. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event with no refund, or banning the offender from participating in future events.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of the organisers immediately via this email address: [email protected]. The organisers will be happy to help participants experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance. We expect participants to follow these rules at all times.

Inclusion
Speakers, hosts, and sponsors are asked to make an effort to use inclusive & gender-neutral language.

Please avoid gendered words such as “guys” or “him” and “her” (use the gender-neutral pronoun “they” instead) and ableist terms such as “crazy”, “mental” etc.

Reporting an incident
Please report directly to the event organisers via email: [email protected].

Privacy
Hosts should make sure that attendees are informed that they will be photographed / screenshot and their images will be shared on social media. Attendees have to be given the possibility to decline to have their pictures taken and/or shared.
